Owners Jimmy and Catherine Moore opened their first No Mas! Cantina in Decatur, GA in 2009. The couple is excited about the growth and the potential of the Atlanta market and believes that their fast-casual concept will be well received by both residents and new visitors to the city. No Mas! Cantina serves fresh, high-quality, Mexican-inspired food, including tacos, burritos, and quesadillas, as well as $5 margaritas and $2 draft beer.

Atlanta is known for its diversity of food, and one of my favorite spots to get authentic Mexican food is No Mas! in East Atlanta Village. Not only is the food amazing, but the atmosphere is great and the staff is super friendly. If you like margaritas, the frozen mango is to die for! When I woke up this morning, I wanted Mexican food. I didn’t want the usual tacos, rice, and beans. I wanted a taste of the pueblos of Mexico. I wanted enchiladas and tamales. What I got was No Mas! Cantina. Located in the heart of Little 5 Points, No Mas! is a taste of the Old World in the New World. On the outside, it looks like a typical American bar. But on the inside, it’s got a Mexican vibe.
The space is small but large enough that you don’t feel like you’re sitting right on top of the person next to you. But that’s not what’s important. The decor inside is what makes this place special. No Mas! Cantina in Atlanta is a lively, vibrant restaurant and bar located in the heart of the historic Old Fourth Ward neighborhood. It’s housed in a 1920s building that was originally constructed as a printing plant. The décor takes on a nautical theme, with floor-to-ceiling white sailcloth and other nautical accents. The bar is a focal point, with an extensive tequila selection, an extensive mezcal selection, and about 60 other kinds of liquor. The menu includes a variety of Mexican and Latin American dishes.
Why is No Mas! Cantina my favorite Atlanta cantina? There are two reasons: their delicious house margaritas, and their out-of-this-world Mexican food. Every time I go, I try a new house marg, and I can’t get enough of them. No Mas! makes their margaritas with fresh-squeezed lime juice, and they have a range of flavors. I usually go for the margarita on the rocks with a hint of orange, but I have also tried the strawberry. No Mas! also has a great range of tequila, so if you are looking for tequila-based cocktails, No Mas! is the place to go. I am also a huge fan of No Mas!’s nachos.
I’m not usually one to try out a new restaurant on opening night, but my friend had some comp tickets to the soft opening at No Mas! Cantina. When I arrived at the restaurant, I was surprised to find that parking was not a problem on this opening night, which probably speaks to the fact that despite Atlanta’s recent explosion of Mexican restaurants, there are still many folks who are yet to try out this latest craze.
No Mas! Cantina, the first and only Cinco de Mayo-themed restaurant and bar in Atlanta, is looking for an experienced and talented salesperson to join our team. The ideal applicant will be passionate about providing excellent customer service, have a proven track record of driving sales, and have a history of team building. It is a Latin-inspired Atlanta restaurant, is a place that encourages a sense of community. The restaurant, which opened in 2010, is owned by a husband-and-wife team and is located close to Piedmont Park in the Virginia Highland neighborhood of town.
What to Eat: The food emphasizes freshness and local ingredients, and you can tell just by looking at it. From the huge salads to the fish tacos, everything looks and tastes like it has been prepared just for you, and is as vegan-friendly as can be. The empanadas ($3.50 each) and the black bean burrito ($8.50) are two things you definitely shouldn’t pass up.
The next time you’re in the ATL and you’re looking for a place to grab a drink and get some tacos, you should definitely check out No Mas! Cantina. We stopped in for a bite and a drink last month, and the experience was great. They have an extensive selection of tequila and mescal and have a great food menu as well (the tacos are really tasty). And they have great service too.
Chef James Snipes has created a menu that is both cutting edge and traditional. From Oysters Rockefeller to a juicy Carne Asada Steak, No Mas! Cantina’s dishes will please even the most discerning of palates. No Mas! A cantina is a go-to place for a great meal, a fun night out, or a family dinner. I was with my wife and two kids and we had the best experience! In and out in 15 min. I’m sure this was because of the two kids, but still. Everyone was helpful, the food was fresh, and it was super fun for the kids.
