Powers Park is a 60-acre city park located in Buckhead, Georgia. The park features splash pads, playground equipment, tennis courts, and walking trails. Powers Park is located just north of Powers Ferry Road and west of Piedmont Road. It is a district of Augusta, Georgia. The Powers Park district is bounded by Northwinds Parkway on the east, Country Club Lane on the south, the Deep River on the west, and the Intracoastal Waterway on the north.

This park contains the remains of the Powers family home, which was built in 1859. The house was burned during the Civil War. The family scattered during the war and didn’t return to the site. The Powers family cemetery is also located here, with the earliest gravestone dated 1812.

Powers Park, Georgia was named for William Powers, who built the first house in the area. In the late 1800s, the ACL Railroad built the first railroad shops in Powers Park, Georgia. The ACL Railroad expanded the shops and built a new roundhouse in 1902. The shops and roundhouse were in Powers Park, Georgia until they were closed in the 1970s.
