The road is split in two by a grass median that stretches across and is a heavily traveled commuter lane during rush hour.
There are many young couples, young families, and even young single families. You will find a lot of young kids playing in the street, or even coming home from school, walking or riding bikes. If you don’t have a kid(s), you will feel a little bit that you are in a kid-town.

Peachtree Road is not the place to start out if you’re a new runner. If you’re looking for a safe place to run/jog/walk, head over to West Paces Ferry/Northside (or Buckhead or whatever you want to call it). I figured this out when I was recovering from back surgery and was on the road to walking again. There are sidewalks, and plenty of people out and about and it’s close to the Ikea, Costco, and the rest of the shopping centers in the area. Plus, the streets are pretty wide, so if you’re running along a side street you can run facing traffic without having cars whizzing by.
