West Paces Ferry/Northside, Atlanta

West Paces Ferry/Northside is a growing community in the northwest area of Atlanta. It has easy access to major thoroughfares, a variety of restaurants and retail options, and great schools. With all of these amenities in place, it’s a great place to spend your time at home.

It is a community in the central part of Atlanta, consisting of the neighborhoods of Virginia-Highland, Morningside, and Piedmont Heights.

West Paces Ferry/Northside is an excellent neighborhood of Sandy Springs. My hubby and I have been living in this neighborhood for more than a year. We live at the intersection of West Paces Ferry and Northside. And, we love this “Sandy Springs”! There are a lot of things to love about Sandy Springs, Atlanta. It’s a close-to-downtown suburb of Atlanta—so close, in fact, that it’s part of the city of Atlanta’s school district. The city also has a lower cost of living than Atlanta proper, which means that your dollar goes further in Sandy Springs.

This neighborhood is one of the hottest in Atlanta, and for good reason: it’s close to the downtown area, and there are plenty of shops and restaurants. The people who live here are usually young, single professionals or people in their late 20s and early 30s.

This West Paces Ferry/Northside Atlanta house is in a desirable school zone, with a great backyard, and is move-in ready. If you are interested in buying a home in this market, let the Atlanta Real Estate Pros assist you in finding your dream home.

On the West Side of Atlanta, there is a location on West Paces Ferry Road/Northside Drive called the “Westside Connector.” It is the point where West Paces Ferry Road turns into Northside Drive. It is not a single intersection, but a stretch of road that is 2 miles long and is right in the middle of the Westside. The road is split in two by a grass median that stretches across and is a heavily traveled commuter lane during rush hour.

There are many young couples, young families, and even young single families. You will find a lot of young kids playing in the street, or even coming home from school, walking or riding bikes. If you don’t have a kid(s), you will feel a little bit that you are in a kid-town.

Peachtree Road is not the place to start out if you’re a new runner. If you’re looking for a safe place to run/jog/walk, head over to West Paces Ferry/Northside (or Buckhead or whatever you want to call it). I figured this out when I was recovering from back surgery and was on the road to walking again. There are sidewalks, and plenty of people out and about and it’s close to the Ikea, Costco, and the rest of the shopping centers in the area. Plus, the streets are pretty wide, so if you’re running along a side street you can run facing traffic without having cars whizzing by.
