Corner Cup Coffee was founded in 2009 by Gregg and Natalie McCarroll. The original location was in Atlanta, Georgia, where they met 12 years ago. Gregg and Natalie both had a love for coffee and knew they wanted to start something of their own. While Natalie was in school studying to become a nurse, Gregg continued to work in the corporate world. Gregg was laid off from his job, and with his severance pay, he bought his first espresso machine and enrolled in the Barista Guild of America. Gregg and Natalie had always traveled on the weekends, but when they moved to Atlanta, they decided to take their hobby of coffee one day, and turn it into a business. Their travels started them thinking about the possibility of opening their own coffee shop.

The Corner Cup is a tiny café tucked in the back corner of a strip mall. The space is about the size of a modest carport, with seating for about a dozen people and a few more on the patio. Life is full of little pleasures. One such pleasure for me is getting a cup of coffee at The Corner Cup in Tucker, Georgia. I have been going there for years. And I have never been disappointed. Their coffee is superior and the atmosphere is welcoming. The owner, Dianne, knows my order by heart. (It is a vanilla latte with the smallest amount of foam… and no whip.)
